‘The wound is the place where the Light enters you.’ - Rumi
In the book A Course in Miracles it says we have to be grateful for our most uncomfortable circumstances because those are the circumstances that show us what we need to heal.
So be grateful for your most uncomfortable circumstances. They shine a light on the areas that are tender and vulnerable and can prove to be one of your greatest strengths.
We build walls in the presence of love and rely on judgment to protect us from facing our wounds.
We hide behind judgment because we feel we are not good enough.
Remember – you are worthy and you are good enough.
‘Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside you.’ - Rumi
Vulnerability is the cornerstone of confidence because it allows you to be more authentic.
When you have the courage to be vulnerable it allows those around you to be vulnerable too. Which then creates stronger, deeper, more authentic relationships.
I always remember being asked what I found most attractive in a man and I replied, ‘Gentleness, because that requires great strength.’ I still believe this.
‘You cannot get to courage without walking through vulnerability’ - Brene Brown
Yes, I know, I don’t find it easy either.
The world wants to judge us very quickly, especially in business.
However, how are we going to change this judgmental world if we don’t show people the light?
We have to allow ourselves to be seen, really seen.
We do everything we can to not be vulnerable.
We’ve built up a wall against the presence of love and instead grown to rely on judgment as our protector.
So give what you most want to receive – empathy, trust, connection, understanding... vulnerability.
‘Your task is not to seek love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.’ - Rumi
Tell the truth in your relationships, your life.
The magic words that we are all here on a journey for are unlearning fear and learning love.
‘If you are irritated by every rub, how will you be polished.’ - Rumi
It takes time to be human.
Let’s stop this epidemic of perfectionism.
See your vulnerability as your greatest strength and not a weakness.
Wholehearted people embrace vulnerability with courage, compassion and connection.
We can heal the world by being vulnerable.
Vulnerability is the birthplace of joy, creativity and love.
So let’s all become messengers for the light of vulnerability.
‘Shine like the whole universe is yours.’ - Rumi
Acknowledge that the good that is already in your life is the foundation of abundance and peace within yourself.
Walk your talk with honesty and integrity.
Feel naked and vulnerable but also a kind of freedom too. When you connect with people on an authentic heart level by making them feel a little better - that's where the magic happens!
Namaste.
‘Spread your love into the most resistant places and nourish the hearts that need healing.’ - M. R. Aurisch
